Mrs. Mary Andrus, wife of H.C. Andrus of Garfield township, died Wednesday morning and was buried Thursday. Funeral services were held at the home yesterday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. G.W. Hummell. Mrs. Andrus was about 73 years of age, and was one of the pioneer women of the county, coming here in 1873. Further particulars will be given next week.

Mary Ann Gifford was born in North Evans, Erie county (sic), New York, November 8, 1830, and died in Garfield township June 7, 1905. She was married to Charlton Andrus June 12, 1850, at Spring Valley, Wisconsin, and came to Nebraska in 1872, with her husband. She was the mother of three children, only one of whom, Miss Clara Andrus, survives. Funeral services were held last Thursday, and interment was in the Martin cemetery (sic).
