Her husband, Silas, was a brother to her stepmother, Melatiah Gifford's 2nd wife, Sarah (Bowerman) Gifford, d/o Thomas(3) & Jane (Clifton) Bowerman. Lydia's father's will refers to both daughters only by their given names, yet there is proof that the second daughter, Elizabeth, was also married at the date of the will [DCW 13:389-91, LDS Family History Library #913660].

Lydia's husband, Silas, was a brother to her stepmother, Sarah (Bowerman) Gifford, d/o Thomas (3) and Jane Clifton) Bowerman and Melatiah Gifford's second wife. Lydia's father's will refers to both daughters only by their given names. (Interesting note here: Hannah's stepmother, Sarah (Bowerman) Gifford, was an older sister to Silas, her husband.)
