In 1851 he was lived with his married sister Mary Johnson.
Joseph emigrated to New Zealand.
Joseph Gigger married in 1857 to Elizabeth, daughter of William Bassett of the Hutt, Wellington.
He passed away in 1899 age 75 and is buried at Taita Cemetery. OTC-UNK-99-ZZ-1069.
