Biography
John Gil was born on 22 January 1907 in Buffalo, New York. He was the son of Polish immigrants Jozef Gil and Zofia Kitrys.
While he was born in Buffalo, the family moved back to Poland at some point where he married Julia Anna Wiercioch in 1930 in Mokre, a village nearby Bobrowa where his parents were born. After the birth of their first child, they immigrated to America, settling in Buffalo where John was born.
Together they had the following children:
- Bronislaw
- Sophie
- Anthony
He passed away on 1 March 1984 in Erie County, New York.
