Believe the family moved from Sheriff Hutton to Kilnwick, York, England somewhere between 30 May 1808 and 3 September 1809. Not sure if the grief of losing a child would be enough to move the entire family this distance. There may have been external factors to the family at this time to leave a job, a home and a community. John's parents John and Mary Gilbank were living in Bugthorpe at this time and were 82 and 84. They may have moved to Kilnwick to be closer to his parents to help the family. Need to check if it was Kilnwick Percy or Kilnwick by Hull.
