Henry Gilbert was baptised at Prestwold in Leicestershire on 4 Mar 1714/15 with his parents named as Henry Gilbert a Yeoman of Burton Woulds and Anne his wife.[1]
Henry, the son of Henry Gilbert of Coates in Leicestershire was apprenticed to Henry Poole a Grocer of Nottingham in 1730.[2]
No further records for Henry have been found leaving a possibility that he could be the Captain Henry Gilbert of Virginia.
