Biography

Elizabeth Dove Gilbert was born about 1864 in Smythesdale, Victoria, Australia, the eldest daughter of James Gilbert and Lucia Christina Peterson.^[1]

Elizabeth married George Staples Boulton on the 6th June 1894, in Queensland.^[2]

Gow's Funeral Chapel, Petrie Bight, To-morrow (Saturday) Morning, at 11.15 o'clock, for the Toowong Cemetery. Service 11 a.m.

Elizabeth was buried in the Toowong Cemetery, Toowong, alongside her husband, George, and where, later, daughter Elizabeth was also laid.^[6]

Research Notes

Lucia Christina Gilbert died in Queensland 1923 and her mother was Maria Christina Jessen and father Jacob Petersen. She married James Gilbert in Victoria in 1861. James died in Queensland on 24 Apr 1896 and his parents were Elizabeth Dove and James Nesbit Gilbert.^[7]
