He did intensive & meticulous research on the original docs. in France, in the part of Basse-Normandie from which Julien & Louis DesRoches emigrated to Malpeque, PEI, ca. 1731. He includes extensive background info on the area & on his sources. (Available only in French, as of 2012.)
