Biography
Thomas Singleton Gilbert was born 16 June 1862 in Benton County, Indiana [1], the son of Herman Rhodes Gilbert (b. May 8, 1836, Maryland, d. Oct 1, 1914, N.D.) and Emily E. Gerard (b. Nov 24, 1836, Indiana, d. Sep 5, 1910, Iowa).[2] He married Sarah Elizabeth Harrow on 30 September 1883 in Decatur, Iowa.[3] Thomas Singleton Gilbert died 1 October 1936 in Fort Madison, Lee, Iowa.
