Jane Morris Gilbert, the daughter of William Gilbert, a gentleman, and Ann Mary Bye of Southampton Street was born on 5 Oct 1838 and baptised at St Paul, Covent Garden on 14 Jul 1839.[1]

Alfred Weigall, a bachelor artist aged 22 of St George Hannover Square, married Jane Morris Gilbert, a spinster aged 18 of Brompton, at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton by Banns on 8 Sep 1857 with the fathers named as Henry Weigall and William Gilbert, both gentleman, and with witnesses William Gilbert, Florence Gilbert and ..... Gilbert.[2]
