Thank you for checking in, Mel. The leader will remove your badge. We have valued your contributions. Please remember you are always welcome to rejoin the project, just answer the g2g posting.
I sent you a message a week ago to let you know about the exciting changes in the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have no yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If so, which team(s) would you like to be on and please can you private message me with your e-mail address so I can get you added to the project’s Google Group?
If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’d be most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
As you may have seen, we have been doing some restructuring in the US Southern Colonies Project and are now organising ourselves into different teams. We have also changed the criteria for membership. Please have a look at the new project pages, and let me know whether you would like to remain in the project and, if so, which team(s) you would like to be in.
Please can you also send me your e-mail address. I can then make sure you are introduced to your Team Leaders and are in the Google Group.
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the US Southern Colonies Project that you respond to these check-ins. We’re really excited for the future of the project and hope that you decide to be a part of it with us moving forwards.
Thank you so much for responding to our check-in. We are delighted that you wish to continue contributing to the Military and War Project. Below is a quick checklist for active members. The project leaders would like you to make sure you have done the following:
1) Checked the Project Page for ways to contribute.
2) Added MILITARY_AND_WAR to the tags you follow.
3) PMed the Project Coordinator with your email address to be added to the Google Group.
4) Bookmarked the Activity Feed to monitor the project watchlist.
On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.
First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.
Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, in a general sense how you may have contributed to the main project or any sub-projects within the last couple months.
It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Southern Colonies Project. As we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to their ancestors. If this is the case for you, please let us know.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project leaders, I am doing a six-month check-in with members to see what aspects of the project interest them most.
1) We would like the number of contributions you have made in the last two months (May and April) to Southern Colonies?
2) We would like to know if you have joined other Southern Colonies Subprojects, such as Southern Pioneers Project. Or have you worked on other subprojects?
Have contacted William Foster Jr if a subcategory for early West Virginia settlers late 1700's to 1863 regarding location of birth/death/marriage/other events in their lives. Some came to one area and even though the name changed they seemed to have lived in various counties but in reality it was because the name changed with creation of the 55. Some from parts of one. This will help in data area and in bio (West) Virginia of the state location. Started a conversation under Genealogy help on G2G forum. Added source for list of counties and formaton info.
