Josiah, the son of John Gilbert and his second wife Hannah Gilbert was born in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut on 24 Mar 1699.[1][2][3] Y-DNA testing suggests that he is not the son of John Gilbert
Josiah Gilbert died on 20 Oct 1781 in the 83rd year of his life, and is buried in South Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery.[4][5]
