Entered Service at Wilkes Co, NC as a Private in the Militia under Capt. Shepherd and Col. Gordon during the American Revolution, 1778-9. (Source: History of Hart County, Georgia by John William Baker). This volume was published in 1933 in response to a resolution of the Georgia General Assembly, 23 AUG 1929 and Mr. Baker's appointment by the Grand Jury in its 25 NOV 1929 presentment.
