The Dictionary of Canadian Biography, in it's article on David Thomas Morrison, gives her name as Effie Gilbert, née Patrick, but most other sources give her first name as Affa. The obituary for her sister Sarah Gilbert, in the Christian Guardian, would indicate that her LNAB is Gilbert:
Affa's obituary didn't mention her maiden name, and had an error in her age when the family moved to York (she was 4, not 14):
She is buried in Toronto Necropolis Cemetery (Ontario, Canada), in Section N, Grave 5a
Secondary sources indicate that Affa was the daughter of Thaddeus Gilbert, blacksmith of Town of York, and she was born in Hubbardton Vermont. Another sister, Elizabeth, was married to William Poyntz Patrick.
