Does anyone know who Simon's (Simeon's) parents are. I have all records for his descendents but cannot figure out who his parents were. FORUM POST By Janis Hardy August 06, 2011 [2]

He was born in N.C. 1805 and migrated to Georgia and died in Talladega Alabama sometime between 1871 and 1880.

His 1st born son was Ezekial b. 1834 by Margaret Harcrow in Georgia. They had 5 sons altogether,

  1. Ezekial,
  2. Peter,
  3. Hugh (named after Margaret's father, Hugh Harcrow)
  4. James and
  5. Martin Gilbert.

Following his wifes death Simon married for the second time to Mary Ann Royster b. 1834, in Talladega Alabama in 1860. They had 2 son's,

  1. Sidney Martin b. 1865 and
  2. John G. Gilbert b. 1870 in Clay County Alabama. John G. Gilbert is my grandfather. Both Sidney Martin and John G. passed away in Oklahoma in 1936 and 1938.
