Baptised at Smalley in Derbyshire on 29 Jun 1755 with his parents named as George and Mary Gilbert.[1]
Probably the Thomas Gilbert who married Ann Benison at Heanor by Banns on 30 Jun 1777 when both of the Parish.[2]
