Ronald Ray Gilbertson was born on October 21, 1959, in Jamestown, North Dakota to Mylo Gilbertson and Patsy Strand. He died on May 19, 1988, in Mineral County, Montana, at the age of 28, on what was supposed to be the last run in his career of being a long-haul trucker.
