The Burgett Children are half-siblings to the Gilbreath/Gilbraith (whichever spelling) Children, Pi and John were never married, therefore the children retained Pi's last name of Burgett. Family history and DNA matches confirm this.

Gilbreath-497 and Gilbreath-311 appear to represent the same person because: Records indicate that William Hays Gilbreath (Gilbreath-498) and Elizabeth (Vestal) Gilbreath (Vestal-699) only had one son by name of Thomas J Gilbreath. Records also indicate that Thomas J Gilbreath (represented by Gilbreath-497 and Gilbreath-311) was married to Elmira Ann French (French-6161). These records, found on Ancestry and FamilySearch all seem to point towards these two being the same person.
Elmira Ann "Mira" French Was 23 years old in the 1860 census of Marshall County, Alabama with Thomas J., age 26 and son William L., age 1. She died in Navarro County, Texas in 1877. she only had 3 children with TJ; William L. b:1859, Martha b:1860 and Joanna Belle b:1862, all in Marshall County.
Gilbreath-497 and Gilbreath-311 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person because of the names of their spouses. My ancestor, Gilbreath-497, married Elmira French.
