Biography
Charles Roy Gilchrest was born on 17 Sept 1902 in Texas, United States.[1][2][3] He was the son of Joseph Sephas Gilchrist and Rose Ann Jane "Jannie" Hobbs.[4]
In 1910, Charles Ray Gilchrest (7) was living in Coryell, Texas, with parents J S Gilchrest (37) and Janie Gilchrest (35), and siblings Clara May 917), Sarah Lou (16), Lillie (13), Harvey (10), Cleburne (6), Lettie B (2) and Joseph W (0), and with uncle Wesley Hobbs (20).[1]
In 1930, Roy Gilchrest (37) was living in Coryell, Texas, with wife Pearl Gilchrest (40), and children Darryl (18), Garnett (16), Dorothy (13), Velma (11) and Lauetta (6). He was working as a farm laborer.[2]
Roy Gilchrest died on 3 Apr 1968. He was buried at Restland Cemetery, Gatesville, Coryell County, Texas, USA.[3]
