I noticed that you made a merge today, Gilchrist-1420 into Gilchrist, Jr.-1, His birth name should be Gilchrist and Jr. should be a suffix, not part of the surname.

Thank you for your note!
You can remain a guest and look around and ask and answer questions in the G2G Forum until you are ready to volunteer.
You should have received a e mail from WikiTree with helpful links, instructions for volunteering and adding your tags. If you do not find it in your inbox look in your spam folder. Let me know if you do not find the e mail and I will send you info for having it recent.
You will need to volunteer to be a member and be confirmed before you can add ancestors and edit profiles. Be sure and read the Wiki Honor Code and agree to it to become a full member of WikiTree. I suggest you add the tags for the surnames you mentioned in your note.
Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here.
David
Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.
WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!
We're really glad you're here!
