1894 He immigrated to the USA through Baltimore, Maryland in 1894.[3]
1900 Just six years after arriving in the United States with his wife and three daughters, August had settled his family in Menominee, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, USA where he found work as a quarry laborer.
1930 August and family farmed in Menomonee, Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA at the time of the 1930 US Census. The land farmed was valued at $13,000. The household comprised his wife, a son and grandson, and two daughters:
1946 August Gildemeister died about 1946 possibly in Lannon, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, USA. He was 77 or 78 years old and was buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, USA.[1]
