Burleigh #113. "..born about 1751, married at Chester, VT., Jan 25, 1787, Lydia Earl, daughter of George Earl of Chester. In 1775, he was captain in the military organization of Cumberland County, in 1776 a member of the council of safety, collector of Chester in 1786, and executor of his father's will and estate. He died at South Windham, VT."
>The History of Weare, New Hampshire 1735-1888 by William Little, p. 861, gives Nathan's birthdate as Jan 4, 1761 in South Weare. Also shown Hampstead vr.Problem - how would he be a Captain 1775 etc. as Burleigh shows, if b. 1761? Based on that, changed b.d. to 1751

Oct 27, 1762, Stephen b. May 5 1765. Nathan info conflicts with Burleigh. Study of Hampstead VR shows date error in Burleigh.

 !LDS IGI shows b. 4 Jan 1761 - It also shows the b. of Clarry Gile, a male, to Nathan and Lydia on 9 Mar 1790 - Burleigh says name is Walter. Problem - born 1761 or 1751 - Burleigh shows Captain in 1775 - hardly, if born 1761 - selected 1751.
 !No Clarry Gile found, but there is a Walter Gile on 1870 census Attica, Wyoming Co. NY, near where brother Nathan Gile lived and died.
