 !1850 census Stephentown, Rensselaer Co. NY age 28, b. NY - occupation "A", worth $25, marked as "cannot read or write". Name Henry A. Guyle. - Children and wife match Burleigh. In same town, is Betsey Guyles, age 63 b. NY with Miss Guyles age 30 b. NY, poss. his father's 2nd wife? Doesn't match.

 !Columbia Co. Researcher Virginia Atwater, Stephentown, NY 8/94 reports Henry and Eliza Guile had son George 1 May 1848.

 !Descendant Ada M. Vincent, Berlin, NY sent 1/95 FGR, extensive records, photo of g.s. "It seems there is an error some place along the line as far as his birthdate is concerned. The gravestone in East Nassau lists his birth as 3/31/1820 and his death as 5/19/1885. The information [in Burleigh] lists his birth as 6/15/1819 and his death as June 1885. I have a copy of the Certificate of Death of Henry Gile which states that he was 65 years 11 months and 18 days old at his death on May 19 1885. According to this, I assume that his birth date is around June 1, 1819. It also lists his birth place as Stephentown." (She then shows May 31, 1819 as b. date, no expl.)
