Ebenezer was on a list made by the Selectmen of the town of Townsend Massachusetts as a Tory. His name was later removed, as he may have had a change of heart along the way. This story is detailed in Sawtelle's History of Townsend on pages 190 - 193.
Ebenezer and Esther Giles' daughter, Rachel, was born on Feb. 2, 1771.
