Sarah Guile was born 1 March 1657 at Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts, daughter of Samuel Gild and Judith Davis.[1][2]
She was called daughter Sarah by the will of Samuel Gild/Guile dated 16 Feb 1683. The bequest included payments by his sons to "my dather Sarah ... in corn and catell as can with in three years after my deses" which may suggest that Sarah was unmarried in 1683.[3][4]
Beyond that, little solid evidence of Sarah's marriage or death has been found.
Research Notes
The Guild/Guile/Gild book says Sarah d/o Samuel and Judith married Peter Pattee, but that is disproved by other records. Rhode Island vital records say Jonathan Thurston married in 1678 at Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island, without naming the wife.[5][6]
Rhode Island vital records list the following 18 children (with reasonable intervals between their birth dates) below Jonathan's name, but give no mother.[7]
A note in the RI vital records says: "In book 2, page __, this family is again recorded, except three youngest and Eleanor's name reads Eliza, and Almy or Amey: birth is given one year earlier. This is an error as the three belong to Jonathan, Jr., as given below."
"Jonathan, July 5, 1687; died 1740"
"Susanna, of Jonathan, Aug. 20, 1712"
"Joseph, April 25, 1714"
"Job, July 1, 1717"
Jonathan's will named only 11 children including sons Edward, Jonathan, Joseph, Job; daus Mary Brownel, Content Wood, Abigail White, Susannah Carr, Elenor Peters, Patiance Southworth, Sarah Sawday, but no wife. [8]
If this Sarah Guile born in 1658 was Jonathan's wife, it is bothersome that she could have had children as late as 1717 when she was age 60. Perhaps the children born after say 1700 were by a second wife.
Whether she died 19 October 1724 at Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts, is also uncertain. Strangely, that is the same dod as Peter Pattee who married a different Sarah Gill/Guile.

I'm agreeing with Randy. The dates just do not add up for this Sarah to be the mother of these children. I think it should be changed to a Sarah Unknown that has birth dates that would fit with the dates of the children. I am willing to go back and make any changes needed to the biographies of the children if it is decided to make that change.
This is possibly a wrong birth date for her. This birth date causes her to have been 56 years old when son Joseph was born and 59 years old when son Job was born. It is unlikely that she would have had children at that age. I have not located any other source for birth information on her at this time.
Here is the source for the marriage. Unfortunately it does not give his spouses name and there is no image available it does give the microfilm number: "Rhode Island Marriages, 1724-1916," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VK1N-2J8 : 6 December 2014), Jonathan Thurston and MM9.1.1/VK1N-2JD:, 1678; citing Little Compton,Newport,Rhode Island, reference ; FHL microfilm 908,270.
so now that we know that the death date on this profile is wrong (it's Peter Patee's death date) because somebody conflated the Sarahs(?), what became of Sarah (--?--) Thurston? We know she died. I contend that she died before 1735 when Jonathan Thurston wrote his will and didn't mention her. She may have died earlier.
What of Sarah Guile/Guild/Gild/Gile/Giles born in 1658 in Haverhill? I have found no other marriage record for a person with that name on American Ancestors or Ancestry.com in the 1675-1695 time frame. Have you?
My suggestion is that Sarah the daughter of Samuel Gild and Judith Davis be disconnected from Jonathan Thurston because there is no evidence this is one person. The separate profile for Sarah the wife of Jonathan should be maintained
I know there's a birth record for Sarah Gild in Haverhill in 1658 to Samuel and Judith (Davis) Gild. A Sarah Gill/Guild/Guile married Peter Pettee in Haverhill in 1682 according to Torrey's Marriages (from published works). This may be the Sarah Gild born in 1658.
Peter Patee died 19 October 1724 in Haverhill according to Haverhill VRs. That's the date on this profile for Sarah's death and on the spurious Find A Grave memorial. Peter has a Find A Grave memorial that has a link to Sarah Guile Patee (1654-1719) memorial. The birth date for this Sarah is different from Sarah the daughter of Samuel and Judith. So perhaps it's a different Sarah Guile. It's too much of a coincidence that Sarah Guile Thurston died the same day as Peter Patee.
She had previously been confused with another individual. Please complete this merge as spouse did not have two wives named Sarah. Samuel and Judith are the correct parents.
I don't know the right answer here, but I'm willing to listen.
What record (not an entry in an index book) do you have for the marriage of Jonathan Thurston (1659-1740) of Little Compton RI or Dartmouth MA? I have not seen one. Please provide a source.
Are there any records that list a Sarah as a mother to the 15 children born to Jonathan Thurston and his wife between 1679 and 1710? All of those children are listed in Little Compton records.
Where is the death record for Sarah that says she is a Thurston? There is no death record for a Sarah Thurston in Haverhill. There is no death record in Haverhill MA VRs for any Sarah. There is a Find A Grave memorial for Sarah Thurston (1658-1724) that says she died in Haverhill, but there is no gravestone.
Giles-1618 and Guile-261 appear to represent the same person because: she only has one spouse. Both of these profiles have the same one and only spouse. They are a duplication. She is the daughter of Samuel and Judith. She and Jonathan are the parents of Content. She had been formerly confused with another individual but these are the same individual.
