It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, and grandfather, Howard Giles, on January 26, 2006 at the age of 64 years.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife, Madeline; cherished sons: Craig (Devera) of Hammonds Plains, NS, Troy (Kathy) of Corner Brook, Cory (Gale) of St. John's, and Howard G.M. (Julie); grandchildren: Tara, Kenneth & Andrew; mother, Stella Giles-Holloway; sisters: Edna Fifield of Corner Brook, and Shirley Oram (Bill) of Deer Lake; brothers: Graydon (Norma) of Edmonton, Alban (Kathleen) of Deer Lake and Nelson of Ottawa; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a loving circle of friends and relatives.

He was predeceased by his father, William Giles (1968) and brother-in-law, Hedley Fifield. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Saturday, January 28, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, January 29, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Tabernacle with Pastor Calvin Andrews officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
