Biography

Joseph Giles was listed as a servant in the Hawke Household on the 1851 Census - aged 16. No further knowledge of Joseph but presumed he died as William Giles & 2nd wife Judith Francoise [nee Menage/Mesnagguste] had another son named Joseph appearing as an infant in the 1861 U.K. Census. This child also died as an infant.
