Biography

Dana Lamar Giles was born in Kosciusco, Attala County, Mississippi, USA on 16 September 1920. He was the son of Leonard Lamar Giles, 1895–1973, and his wife, Minnie Lou/Lee (Thorton) Giles, 1901–1966.^[1]

He married Katherine Lucille Snow (1928-abt.2020) on 22 July 1955 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. She was 27 and he was 34 years old when they married. ^[2]

Dana and Katherine L. (Snow) Giles lived for a time in the 1970s in Stockton, San Joaquim County, California, near several of her siblings. They later moved to Russelville, Pope County, Arkansas. Dana Lamar Giles passed away there on 26 September 2002 at 82 years old. He and Katherine are likely to have divorced before as she is not on his tombstone and his body was returned to his native Attala County, Mississippi, for burial at Bethel Cemetery, Hesterville, Attala County, Mississippi, USA.^[3]

Katherine (Snow) Giles passed away around 2019 or 2020, most-likely in Arkansas. No Find A Grave Memorial has been found for her.
