George was born in 1880,^[1] at 9 Oxford Street.^[2]

He married Gertrude H. M. McBride in 1909,^[3] at Villa Maria, Hunters Hill.^[4]

He died in 1947,^[5] at his residence, 'Devon,' Shaftesbury Avenue, Burwood.^[6] His memorial stands in Macquarie Park Cemetery.^[7]
