(From Find a Grave website: They were married at her father's farm home in Sugar Creek, Clark County, Missouri. From The Los Angeles Times newspaper, Wednesday, May 2, 1917, Page 15, "Tis Fiftieth Year for Them, Los Angeles Pairs Celebrate Their Golden Weddings, -Mr. and Mrs. Eugenio Hough Kincaid and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gilhousen, whose fiftieth anniversaries were observed in Los Angeles yesterday. The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Gilhousen's discharge from the One that began long before the Civil War, when the two were schoolmates, and had its culmination after Mr. Gilhousen's discharge from the One Hundred and Fifteenth Illinois Infantry, with which he served under "Old Pop" Thomas and afterward in Texas. Twenty-five guests were present at the Gilhousen's celebration, including the six sons and daughters, who are C.E., Will, L.S., Paul, A.A., and Bert Gilhousen, and Miss Ella Gilhousen of Portland and Miss Grace Gilhousen of this city.
