Biography
Albert Richard Gilhuly was born in Toronto, York, Ontario on 8 January 1890. He was a son of John Gilhuly and Sophia Young.[1]
Bert enlisted in the 222nd Overseas Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 1 February 1916 at Carman, Manitoba.[2]
Bert married Gladys Clark on 27 October 1916 at Winnipeg, Manitoba[3] just before he was shipped overseas.
Bert passed away in Carman, Manitoba on 2 November 1961. He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Carman.[4]
Research Notes
On his attestation papers, Bert listed his date of birth as 8 January 1892. All other sources show 1890. Carlson-1933 16:09, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
