It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Joseph or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.

Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 111 markers, haplogroup R-BY104831, FTDNA kit #176334
Just a heads up . . . you added your yDNA test information to your profile but this test will not be connected to paternal-line family members unless the Privacy Level is changed to "Private with a Public Family Tree" or higher.
Since you have a FamilyTreeDNA test, please also join our new WikiTree DNA group project from your FTDNA account page for your kit number. You can join as many FTDNA projects as you believe will help your research, so we hope you will join our FTDNA WikiTree project: https://www.familytreedna.com/public/WikiTree

I would love to volunteer in building a shared family tree! My vision when I first started testing my dna 4 years ago was that it could be used to map out which ancestors of ours contributed in passing down a particular dna segment. The only way this can be done is through open collaboration/cooperation with others. I believe WikiTree to be a step in the right direction.
