Biography
Hannah (Gill) Bettison was born in Yorkshire, England.
Hannah Gill was born about 1837. She was the daughter of Robert Gill and Ann Holt. Hannah was baptised on 7th April 1837 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire. [1]
On 11th November 1863, Hannah married Richard Bettison. The marriage took place in Christ Church, Sculcoates. [2]
In 1871, Hannah and her husband were living in Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorkshire. The couple had five children. Hannah's sister-in-law was living in the home and the household employed two servants. [3]
In 1881, Hannah and her husband were living in Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire. Also in the household were five children and a nephew. [4]
In 1891, Hannah and her husband were living in Cottingham, Yorkshire. The couple had three sons and a daughter in the home. The household employed a servant. [5]
In 1901, Hannah was a 64-year-old widow. She was residing in Sculcoates All Saints, with her two sons and a servant. [6]
In 1911, Hannah was 75 and residing in Hull. Her son, Frank, was in the home, along with a servant. [7]
Hannah passed away in 1911 at the age of 75. Her death was registered in Sculcoates. [8]
