Biography

Hugh Gill was christened at Stithians in Cornwall on the 25th of June 1683 his parents were John and Elinor [1]

He married twice firstly to Mary Hancock 11/6/1698 at St Mewan [2]

And secondly to Elinor Barth at St Gluvias in 1731 [3]

Hugh Gill died and was buried at St Mewan Feb 1725 [4] '

Research Notes This Gill family were farmers/butchers when they moved to St Mewan so there is a possibility they were indeed farmers at Stithian,s no evidence though.
