1930-40 TX Life

In 1930 at State Hwy No 1 West, Precinct 1, Howard Co, TX the Gill household consisted of John G. Gill and Ruby L. Gill with their children Irene I Gill, Dorothy J. Gill and John G. Gill. John was a waged or salary laborer doing public work.[4]

In 1935 and 1940 Coolidge, Pinal Co, AZ the Gill household consisted of John and Ruby Gill with their children Irene, Dorothy, John, Betty J. Erlene, Donald R. and Patricia F. COOLIDGE - Services for John Green Gill, 66, who died Thursday at Pinal General Hospital, Florence, after a long illness, will be at 5 p.m. today at the Cole and Maud Mortuary here.

Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park.

Mr. Gill was born in Texas and came to Coolidge 34 years ago from Colorado City, Tex. He worked in construction until his retirement because of poor health.

Surviving him are his wife Ruby; three sons, John, Gerald, and Darrell, all of Coolidge; five daughters, Mrs. Lou Taylor of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. John Sink of Buena Park, Calif., Mrs. George Barsdale of San Manuel, Mrs. George Dowdele of Phoenix, and Mrs. Tom Bell of Williams; a sister, Mrs. Laura Blaylock of Willcox and three other sisters and one brother, all out of state; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.[7]
