Biography

Unable to locate a birth record in NLI RC Registers

Marriage record identifies James father as an Artisan i.e a master of craft named Thomas and give the residence prior to marriage as Carrickedmond. Other records for civil birth records of siblings list the father as Thomas as a carpenter and place of birth - Clonard (aka: Cloonard) Clonard and Carrickedmond are geographically proximate. Having qualified as a carpenter under as apprentice to his father, James would be expected to move out of the family home and build his own customer base and not compete with his father. In this respect the two townlands mentioned are still relatively close by to satisfy a non compete agreement.
