Edward was born in Longford, Tasmania in 1835[1]. He was the son of Thomas Gilham and Frances Furner.
He married Dinah Beams at Longford in 1856.[2]
Edward passed away at Carrick, Tasmania in 1900 after being thrown from a buggy.[3] He was buried at Carrick Anglican Churchyard.[4] His estate was administered to Dinah.[5]
