Edith Gilland, age 17, of Flat Rock, Michigan, married William Bruce, age 19, of Detroit, Michigan, on 8 January 1919 in Detroit. According to the record, she was born in Michigan, a daughter of Wright Gilland and Mary Mill. William was born in Ohio, a son of Orson J. Bruce and Mary Olinger, and worked as a pressman.[1]
