Biography

Obituary: GILLANDERS, Calvan Ross May 17, 1934 - Jan. 1, 2010 With great courage and humor, Ross set an example for us all as he did his best to keep cancer at bay. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Kathy, John (Pam), and Paul, (Mayumi), his much loved grandchildren Dan, Bryan, Ethan, Tristan, and Maria, and his brothers David (Barbara) and John, and sisters Joan (Stewart) and Mona. His great passions in life were his family, his many friends, his writing, and riding that Honda. A big man with a heart to match, he will be missed by so many. A service to honor Ross will be held on Saturday January 9th, 2 PM, at St. Dunstan's Anglican Church, 3025 264th St. Aldergrove. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who care to, would make a donation in his name to the Abbotsford Hospice Society, or to Christine Morrison Hospice.
