Biography

Obie Gelespie was enumerated as son of the head of household at Logansport and Nacogdoches Road, Justice Precinct 8, Shelby County, Texas for the January 12, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born October 1919 in Texas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Ob Gelespie, wife Lou Gelespie, brother Philip Gelespie and brother Clemet Gelespie.[1]

On April 1, 1935, O B Gillespie lived at 1105 South Green Street, Longview, Justice Precinct 1, Gregg County, Texas.[2]

O B Gillespie was enumerated as stepson of the head of household at 1105 South Green Street, Longview, Justice Precinct 1, Gregg County, Texas for the April 11, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1920 in Texas. He was single and worked as a steno-clerk in a petroleum production office as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William M Noel and wife Lucile Noel.[2]

O B Gillespie is buried at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Harrison County, Texas, USA.[3]
