Jefferson B Gillespie was enumerated at Franklin County, Georgia for the August 13, United States Census, 1850. He was noted as born 1845 in Georgia as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Milton W Gillespie, female Melissa H Gillespie, female Martha L Gillespie, female Mary E Gillespie, male John B Gillespie, female Bethenia E Gillespie, female Harrick A Gillespie, male Patterson C Gillespie and female Charity M Gillespie.[1]

Jefferson H Gillespie was enumerated at Carnesville Post Office, Franklin County, Georgia for the June 15, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1845 in Georgia and a farmer as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Milton W Gillespie, female Malissa H Gillespie, female Barthena E Gillespie, female Harriet A Gillespie, male Patterson C Gillespie, female Charity M Gillespie, male Asa W Gillespie, female Cordelia L Gillespie, female Jane A Gillespie and male William B Gillespie.[2]

Jefferson Gillaspie was enumerated at Middle River Post Office, Franklin County, Georgia for the June 16, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1844-1845 in Georgia and a farmer. He had $300 in value of personal assets as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Harriet Gillaspie and female Francis Gillaspie.[3]

Jefferson B Gillespie was enumerated as self at District 1206, Banks County, Georgia for the June 25, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as a farmer, born 1845 in Georgia and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Harriet L Gillespie, daughter Martha F Gillespie, daughter Amanda L Gillespie, son John J Gillespie, daughter Lela A Gillespie and son George B Gillespie.[4]

Jefferson Gillispie was enumerated as head of the household in Militia District 208, Bushville, Banks County, Georgia for the June 14, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a farmer and born October 1845 in Georgia. He had been married for thirty-two years. Also included in the household are wife Hariet Gillispie, daughter Leila Gillispie, son Blanton Gillispie, son Paul Gillispie and son Thomas Gillispie as seen in an image of the original census.[5]

Jeff B Gillespie was enumerated as head of the household at Minish, Jackson County, Georgia for the May 4, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1846 in Georgia and married. He was a farmer on a general farm and a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Harrett Gillespie, son Blant Gillespie, grandson George Gillespie and grandson Hoke Gillespie.[6]

J.B. Gillespie was listed as the nearest relative of Thomas Jefferson Gillespie when he registered for military service as recorded in this September 12, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. Their address was Commerce, Jackson County, Georgia as seen in this image of the original form.[7]

Jefferson Brawner Gillespie is buried at Mount Bethel United Methodist Cemetery in Banks County, Georgia.[8]
