Alvin M. Gillespie was born to father Oliver Gillespie and mother Martha Taylor.[1]

Alvin Gillespie wed Sarah Hallmark December 5, 1909 in Selfville, Blount County, Alabama.[2]

Alvin M Gillespie was enumerated as head of the household at Self, Blount County, Alabama for the April 23, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1883 in Alabama and had been married less than a year. He was a farmer on a general farm and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household is wife Sarah L Gillespie.[3]

A. M. Gillispie is listed as the husband of Sarah Elizabeth Gillispie who died November 12, 1921 in Tarrant, Jefferson County, Alabama. The father was listed as J. C. Hallmark and the mother Fannie Hill.[4]
