A. H. Gillespie wed Fannie Lyon September 5, 1889 in Transylvania County, North Carolina.^[1]

Alfred H Gilespie was enumerated as head of the household in Cathey's Creek Township, Transylvania County, North Carolina for the June 8, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a farmer and born November 1867 in North Carolina. He had been married eleven years and was a renter as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Fannie M Gilespie, daughter Murtle O Gilespie, daughter Iler S Gilespie, son Jason S Gilespie and son Clifford E Gilespie.^[2]

Alfred H Gilespie was enumerated as head of the household in Catheys Creek, Transylvania County, North Carolina for the April 30, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1868 in North Carolina and had been married twenty years. He was a farmer on a general farm and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Fannie M Gilespie, daughter Myrtle O Gilespie, daughter Ida L Gilespie, son Jason L Gilespie, son Clifford E Gilespie, daughter Elizabeth A Gilespie and sister-in-law Manny L Lyon.^[3]

He was noted as born 1868 in North Carolina and married. He was an owner and a farmer on a general farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Fannie M Gillespie, son Eugine C Gillespie and daughter Aslee Gillespie.^[4]

A. H. Gillispie was listed as the father of Ida Gillispie who died November 7, 1925 in Cathey Creek, Transylvania County, North Carolina. The mother was listed as Fannie Lyons.^[5]

A. H. Gillespie was listed as the husband of Fannie L. Gillespie who died December 13, 1935 in Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina. The father was listed as Lenord Lyons and the mother Elizabeth Nicholson.^[6]
