Biography

Mandella M Gillespie was enumerated as daughter of the head of the household at Cherry Lane Township, Alleghany County, North Carolina for the June 28, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born January 1887 in North Carolina and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Mary J M Gillespie, son Samuel A Gillespie, daughter Ferrel M Gillespie, daughter Mary V Gillespie and son William D Gillespie.[1]
