Biography

George Gillespie, son of Rev George Gillespie and Margaret Murray was baptised in the parish of Edinburgh, Midlothian on 20 May 1644.[1]

He had at least one son with Rebekah Nice Garner in 1686. He and Ann Garner (ca. 1664-1693) also had children. He died in 1724 having lived a long life of 80 years. The indications are the Rev George Gillespie Jr married two Garner sisters in succession.

Attached children are impossible: they span about 50 years meaning that mom was 70 when she had the last one.

Gillespie-3684 and Gillespie-11 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate. I proposed a merge of the duplicate mothers which needs to be completed before these profiles are merged. Thanks!
