Biography
Robert was born about 1822, possibly in Drumnadreagh, Glynn, County Antrim, Ireland, the son of William Gillespie, a farmer.
In 1846 he married Sarah Bodles in Ballycarry Presbyterian Church. He was a shoemaker from Drumnadreagh, Glynn, County Antrim and she was from Ballylig, Glynn. The witnesses were William and Matthew McLernon.[1]
