Birth: On August 17, 1655 Nathan GIllet was born in Windsor Twp, Hartford, Connecticut. His Father's name was Nathan Gillet.[1][2][3][4]

Christening: Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut, United States. [5]

Marriage: On June 30, 1692, Nathan Gillit married Rebekah Owin in Windsor, Hartford, Colony of Connecticut, British Colonial America.[6]

Death: Unknown, but alleged to be January 30, 1757 at age 101 (see Research Notes).

Research Notes

There are only three Nathan Gillets (or variations of that name) in the General index to probate records: all districts in Connecticut 1641-1948: Nathan Gillet, 1745 (his son), Nathan Gillet, 1825 and Nathan GIllet, 1862.

Nathan Gillett Birth: Aug. 17, 1655 Windsor Hartford County Connecticut, USA Death: unknown NATHAN, 8th known child of Nathan Gillett, was born 17 August 1655. He married at Windsor 30 June 1692, Rebecca Owen, daughter of John Owen and Rebecca Wade. Henry R. Stiles states that the Nathan Gilet married Rebeckah Owen first and a Hannah Buckland as his second wife but this is an error. Hannah Buckland was married to a Nathan Gilet but he was born 6 Feb 1680 and was an uncle to Nathan Gilet

Gillette Families compiled by Berth Bortle Beal Aldreidge 929.273 G413a pg 131: Nathan, son of Nathan Gillett, was born at Simsbury, Conn., August 17th, 1655. He married at Windsor, Con., June 30th, 1692 Rebecca, daughter of John and Rebecca (Wade) Owen at Windsor, Conn., March 28th, 1666. She died at Simsbury in 1704, and he died there, January 30th 1757.

I worked extensively on this profile to clean the ged.com. I added sources, removed broken links, removed a lot of duplicate text, reformatted the profile, reworked the research notes to remove much duplicate text, and added categories. Please feel free to revise my changes as you see fit.

Elizabeth Mary Ann Owen is not a wife of this Nathan Gillett. JQ has proposed through a comment on her profile that they remove her as his wife and create another profile for her husband if she truly was married to a Nathan Gillett that has birth and death dates closer to hers.
