Mary Gillett was born in Gananoque in 1897. She was the daughter of Richard Gillett and Helen Bird. She married Edward Francis Wells.

Helen Mary Wells passed away In Cobourg on Saturday, January 10, 1987. Helen Mary Glllett, beloved wife of the late Edward Francis Wells. Dear sister of Violet Ethel Glllett of Cobourg and the late Stella (Mrs. E. Charters). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, Interment, at St. James Cemetery, Toronto. Arrangements by MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg.^[1]
