Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1838. She was the daughter of Francis Gillette and Elizabeth Hooker, born 7 December 1838 at Bloomfield, Connecticut. She died 30 August 1915 at the age of 76.^[1] It is not clear where Elizabeth died. Her name cannot be found in the Connecticut Death Index, nor can it be found in the North Carolina Death Index.

Elizabeth was "the daughter of Francis and Elisabeth Daggett (Hooker) Gillette of Bloomfield and Hartford, Conn., b. Dec. 7, 1838 at Bloomfield, Conn.; m. Sept. 3, 1864, George Henry Warner, son of Justin and Sylvia (Hitchcock) Warner of Plainfield, Mass., b. Dec. 21, 1833 at Plainfield. Mr. Warner was engaged in foreign exchange and banking business in the city of New York. Associated with his brother Charles Dudley Warner in the Warner Library. They lived at Hartford, Conn."^[2]
