Charles was born in 1895. He was the son of William Gillette and Mabel Olmstead.
He was a Captain in the US Army with the 14th Infantry, 3rd Division, AEF.
Following the war he returned to his wife's hometown where they raised five children.
He was an engineer with the Pennsylvania Edison Electric Company.
He died in 1938 and is buried with his wife in the Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Blair County, Pennsylvania[1]
